About Sugar-n-Spice

Every now and then, a place comes along that challenges what you know about comfort food. Nestled in the heart of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Sugar-n-Spice is more than just a charming diner—it’s an experience. Found at 212 S Pine St, this eatery effortlessly blends nostalgic vibes with modern culinary creativity, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers passing through.

Walking into Sugar-n-Spice feels like stepping into a time capsule, complete with pastel-hued booths and a jukebox that's always humming classic tunes. But let’s talk about the main attraction: the food. The menu is a delightful mix that truly offers something for everyone. Craving breakfast at dinner? Then you’ll love their all-day breakfast specialties like the fluffy pancakes, which come drenched in rich syrup, or the egg platters cooked to perfection. Those eggs aren’t just ordinary; they’re organic and sourced locally, giving them a farm-fresh taste that's hard to beat.

If breakfast isn’t on the mind, the lunch options will certainly tickle the taste buds. The burgers are a highlight, with the signature 'Spice Burger' drawing rave reviews for its juicy, perfectly seasoned beef and a secret sauce that's both tangy and just a tad spicy. Don't overlook the crispy, golden fries that accompany it—they’re addictive! For the health-conscious, there are salads filled with vibrant greens and topped with house-made dressings that explode with flavor.

So, what do people say? Reviews consistently highlight the warm atmosphere and the friendly staff who make everyone feel like family. Regulars often mention that no matter how busy it gets—and it does get busy—there’s always a personal touch in the service provided. What's more, this is an eatery that seems to capture the essence of community through its food and ambience. Perfect for regular casual dining or a special treat, Sugar-n-Spice offers an accessible location and ample parking just off the bustling Pine Street, making it a convenient choice for anyone in the area. The real draw, though, remains how each visit feels like returning to a second home—one where the food not only satiates hunger but feeds the heart.

I have been here several times, and it has been good each time. I tried a small order of onion rings this time instead of fries, and they were good. It was also more than I could eat. The cheeseburger was good, hot, and fresh. The menu has a lot to choose from, so your whole party should be able to find something you like. They are also fast, so you don't have to wait on your food. I am going to try something different one day and will update the review when I do.

The Souvlaki was awesome tender and flavorful and plenty of sides with it. My friend had a steak burger and he said it was really good also. My wife had the burger and she finished the whole thing. Good job guys was impressed.

I've been coming here for at least 9 years and I have never left disappointed or hungry. The owner and staff are always friendly, work hard and make sure we have everything we need to enjoy our meal. You can't go wrong with the beef souvlaki, its delicious. They always make it rare for me upon request. Fries are usually nice and crispy and the onion rings are so crunchy and delicious. If you come during peak hours you may be fighting for a seat, but no matter what time of day you come the food is always hot, fresh and delicious.

This restaurant is great. You order at the counter and the food is usually ready by the time you get to the end of the line, or it's brought out shortly. The staff is friendly, though it's helpful to know what you want to order before getting up to the counter to keep things moving.

Historical car hop place with friendly attractive staff. I don't know if they car hop anymore. Got the Roast Beef with everything! It was very generous fare. Sweet tea was really good. I'm going back for "slouvaki" Greek kebobs...

A lot of pluses / good points for this restaurant. 1st , Very cool decor. 2nd, Staff was very friendly & restaurant was clean. 3rd they don't have ketchup on the tables but my order came with Plenty of ketchup. I didn't have to ask for any, & My burger was cut in half. I like that. And it was absolutely cooked perfect And Delicious. And the fries were seasoned perfectly , best fries I've had Anywhere on a long time. 4th napkins were at the table . I hate having to ask wait staff for more napkins. The only bad remark I can give is the chocolate pie is too creamy for my taste. And no salt and pepper , ketchup on the table. But they do have salt & pepper packs at the register
